I've just posted my new handbag (the pink one) which is MINE! Step away from that purse and no one will get hurt! It's actually much softer and prettier in person; the black and white is for sale at Bonanzle, as is the quilt.

I was sick all last week with a stomach virus, so this posting is only ONE WEEK late...LOL

I'm gonna post a picture of my new handbag by Monday...it turned out really pretty and it's mine, all mine! Laurel Burch cats and pink fabric...It just screams SPRING! And since it's going to snow AGAIN tomorrow, if you hear screaming it won't just be the purse!

Haven't been able to get much sewing done with all the tax prep for me and my mom, work and trying to get more things listed at Bonanzle...I'm going to be listing some extra fabric that I have on hand that I just know I won't use. I'll let everyone know when it's available...plus, if you are a member of this group and want to purchase fabric, let me know as I can give you a discount or negotiate price with you! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hiya Pieper! All fabric lovers welcome!

Hi everyone! I finally made it over here and long enough to check this out! Love to sew, don't quilt formally, but I have a very close relationship with fabric of all kinds...LOL...my mother was a professional seamstress, having attended designing school in Chicago in the 30's and working as an apprentice under a French seamstress. I was always intimidated by my mother's talent and therefore didn't blossom as a fabric artist until after I'd left home!

Anyway, glad to be here and see some familiar faces!

This is for quilting and sewing, so you are welcome aboard! And feel free to start a sewing discussion if you like! And I am intimidated by the new serger too! Haven't even taken it out of the box. Really cool about the poodle skirts...talk about hitting a niche market!!!

Hi! Not a quilter, but I make custom felt poodle skirts. Just made and shipped the most ever in the shortest period of time (about 60+ in about a month), and now have a bit of a reprieve!

Want to start sewing the peasant-style 50s blouses (have a couple of vintage patterns) to go with my skirts, but keep putting it off, since I plan to use my serger which intimidates me beyond words.

Someday (hopefully not too far in the future since... well... I was literally a child in the 50s) I'd love to learn quilting.

Now have (2) Bonanzle booths: glorsstore and SockHopShop.

I'm just about to get started quilting - I'm gathering fabrics and books - but this is something I've wanted to do for a long time! My youngest is now 3, so I'm beginning to have those few moments here and there when I can steal some sewing time!

My goal is to have a queen-size quilt made for each of my girls by the time they leave home (they are now 10, 6 and 3) - so hopefully I'm getting a good head start :-)

I do other sewing - making aprons, cloth napkins, pillowcases and the like - my oldest daughter is also taking sewing in 4-H this year and my 6 year old has started learning to hand embroidery this year.

Excited to get to know you all!

Hi guys...not a whole lot going on in the group just yet...we all seem to be pretty quiet! But it is good to see a group forming and to know where we can find other quilters!
