Photo Guide

Here’s everything you need to know about the Slide Show on our Main page. How to view it, rules for submitting, and instructions.

Viewing

On the Main Page of our site, is a Slide Show of members Bonanzle items.

The Slide Show can only show 100 photos at a time. So in order to see all our members items, click on the VIEW ALL icon at the bottom right corner of the slide show, or the use Tab Browser.

Once you are there, on the top right corner, is a drop down menu box where you can choose to view pictures, randomly, recently added, most popular, and top rated (indicated by stars)

If you find something you like, click on the photo, title or members name to get to it.

You can now make that item a favorite, you can comment on it, or ask a question and you can rate it with stars.

By clicking on the members Avatar or name, you can go to that members page to see what else they offer, leave a comment, read their Blog etc.,.

Guidelines for Slide Show

Each member is allowed to load up to 15 pictures of Bonanzle items. If you have more then 15 items you want people to see over time (or as items get sold), you can delete them and then submit new ones in their place as often as you like. All photo submissions are monitored for approval.

Submitting a picture

First, load photos by clicking on the ADD Photos icon in one of three areas…

Your "My Page"
Photo Pool

Once you load your photos, you can edit them and submit them for approval. To be approved, they must have all three requirements listed below.

Editing

First, click on Edit photo icon (middle right hand side)

You will see a Title box, a box for Tags, a description box, and a location box. Location means your geographical location which will show folks where the item ships from.

1. Title your picture with a caption. This keeps the photo pool neat by keeping them in line with each other

2. Tag your picture with key words people will use to find an item. Use words like jewelry, metal, stone, ruby... etc., People will not search on words like pretty or cute, or nice, etc.,. Include names like Tupperware, Avon, Gucci etc.,

**Please note if you need to use a two-word tag, it will separate the words alphabetically unless you use quote marks. Like use “coffee mug” NOT coffee mug.

3. Link your picture to the listing in your Bonanzle booth for that item (not to your entire booth) somewhere in the description box.

A lot of folks seem to be having problems with the link. Take a look at this sample... and simply put YOUR link (URL) in the place where the sample link is shown:

The URL is that part of the line that reads: http://www.... etc.

Description and location are optional, not a requirement - but highly recommended.

Those who have mastered the Photo Guide tell me that they are seeing an increase in views of the items in the photo gallery. And some have even reported SALES as a result! That's what we like to hear.
